Facilities
Beechworth Community Child Care Centre is situated in a purpose built building located in the beautiful parks and gardens of the LaTrobe Campus on Albert Road.
Indoors
We have three (3) rooms that cater for children:
3 months to 2 years old
(maximum 10 children)- 2 years to 3 years old
(maximum 10 children) - 3 years to 5 years old
(maximum 25 children)
All our rooms are staffed as required by the Victorian Children’s Services Regulations.
The staff: child ratios are
- Under 3’s: 1:5
- Over 3’s: 1:15
Our staff are Qualified and Trained in the Early Childhood field and related areas. We have some staff completing traineeships in Certificate III in Children’s services and Diploma of Children’s Services. All rooms look out onto the playground.
Outdoors
We have two outdoor play areas for the children. A small area for the babies and a larger area shared by the toddlers and the preschoolers.
With the assistance of Federal Government and Indigo Shire Grants we have been able to put shade sails over much of the playing areas. Large established trees give us shade in summer and leaves to play in, in autumn. Our outdoor area consists of a soft fall area for climbing, bike paths, sandpits and GRASS.
